Ma protectrice du Nord!! / Marjolaine Leclerc, Iqaluit, Nunavut / My north protective!!
Marjolaine Leclerc a été la première personne à qui j’ai parlé lors de mon arrivée à Iqaluit.
Comment présenter cette femme qui lorsqu’elle a eu 50 ans en 2000 appelait sa fille pour lui dire “Hey, j’ai un demi-siècle!”…..sa fille lui répondant….”Attends au moins que l’on t’appelle pour te souhaiter ton anniversaire!”
En fait, Marjo est la gentillesse même. Dire qu’elle a la main sur le coeur serait réducteur…Son corps entier bats la même mesure…lentement parfois comme les animaux qui hibernent mais souvent rapidement!
Nous avons tellement discutés ensemble, nous couchant souvent aux petites heures.
Marjolaine est originaire du Québec, elle est arrivée au Nunavut depuis septembre 2007. Elle travaille à l’association des francophones du Nunavut en tant que comptable.
Une des choses que j’ai le plus apprécié chez Marjo, c’est son sourire et sa personnalité! Je sais, cela peut paraître cliché mais elle a vraiment une joie intérieure qui ne demande qu’à sortir, s’exprimer et vibrer autour d’elle. Vous savez, cette petite lueur que les enfants ont, un petit air malin et un grand bonheur des choses simples…
Elle m’a tellement fait rire lors de nos discussions en me lançant des expressions de son crû!
Alors, à travers ce petit mot sur ma protectrice du nord, je tenais bien sûr à la remercier. Merci infiniment Marjo pour m’avoir ouvert les portes de ton chaleureux “chez vous” (c’est le moins que l’on puisse dire 
et surtout pour ta compagnie tout aussi chaleureuse!!

How to present this woman who when she was 50 years old in 2000, called her daughter to tell her “Hey, I have half a century !”….. her daughter answers….” Wait at least that we call you for your birthday! ”
In fact, Marjo is kindness. Saying she has her hand on her heart would not be enough… Her whole body bats the same pulsation … slowly sometimes as animals that hibernate but often quickly!
We have discussed so much together, we often go to sleep really late!
Marjo is from Quebec, she arrived in Nunavut since September 2007. She works for the french association of Nunavut as an accountant.
One of the things that I most appreciated at Marjo, her smile and her personality! I know this may sound cliché, but she has a real joy inner longing to get out, express itself and vibrate around her. You know, this little glimmer that children have, joy of simple things …
It makes me laugh so much during our talks when she said her “typical” expressions!
So, through this little word on my north protective, of course, I wanted to thank her. Thank you so much for giving me so lot, opened the doors of your warm “home” (this is the least we can say and especially for your company also so warm!
